Queens Legal Aid

We are pleased to announce that, effective September 20, Queen’s Legal Aid will be conducting a pilot project and holding office hours on campus at Saint Lawrence college.

Queen’s Legal Aid provides free legal services to low income residents of Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Counties, and to students of both St. Lawrence College and Queen’s University. 

We provide legal advice and representation on matters involving tenants’ rights; Small Claims Court claims and defences; serious provincial offences; minor criminal offences; social assistance and disability appeals; Canada Pension Plan, Employment Insurance, Criminal Injuries Compensation Board claims; wrongful dismissal disputes as well as affidavits and notarizations.

In fall semester 2010, Queen’s Legal Aid will be conducting client intake interviews on Mondays between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. in the Student Association Club Office on the second floor at Saint Lawrence College. To schedule an interview, please call us ahead of time at 613-533-2102 or drop by the office during our office hours. This is a pilot project for the fall semester only. However, office hours may continue in second semester if the pilot project is successful.
